| Sorrento Ventures focuses on high growth technology businesses in Southern California with great management teams that can grow to $50 million in revenues within five years. We typically provide between $1,000,000 to $2,000,000 in growth capital in our first investment round and an aggregate of $5,000,000 to $10,000,000 through the life cycle of our emerging growth companies. Our initial investment in a portfolio company typically occurs after a management team has proven its ability to raise equity financing from third parties and has demonstrated a market demand for its product or service. Our initial investment is typically in the Series A or Series B preferred round in which we often act as a lead investor bringing in additional financing from institutional investors. For capital intensive businesses, we typically participate in an investment syndicate led by another venture firm.
